event
Smyrna, GA, March 20, 2007: TEAM GLOCK driver Michelle Theriault is scheduled to attend the Shriners Hospital for Children – Tampa’s ARCA/REMAX appearance on Thursday, March 22nd, 2007 in Tampa, FL, from 12-3 pm along with other notable drivers from the series including: Darrell Basham, Dexter Bean, Roger Carter II, Gabi DiCarlo, Michael Faulk, Mike Harmon, Justin Marks, Michael McDowell, Philip McGilton, Art Seeger, Brian Silas and Justin South. Patients at the hospital will get to “race against the champs” for bragging rights to the best simulated race in Tampa. Rounding out the day, the drivers will leave behind stuffed ARCA/REMAX Teddy Bears and fleece blankets to the children.
The Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children is equipped to provide care for pediatric orthopedic diseases and has developed a special expertise to treat children in several distinct areas. Some of the diseases that are most commonly treated at the orthopedic hospital include hand and hip disorders, limb deficiencies, metabolic bone disease, neuromuscular diseases, scoliosis, spina bifida and cerebral palsy.
The charity event is happening in conjunction with the ARCA/REMAX series race being held at the USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL on March 24, 2007. Practice for the 1st annual Construct Corps-Palm Beach Grading 250 at USA Int'l Speedway is from 4:30-6:00pm Friday afternoon and 1-2:30pm Saturday afternoon. Pork Pole Award qualifying follows Saturday at 4:30. The race is set to go off under the lights Saturday night at 7:30. For ticket and track information, please call 1-800-984-7223.
